Stenegård i Järvsö
The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc fiddle camp 2019!
There are many different fiddle styles found throughout the Nordic region.
Nordic Fiddlers Bloc represent 4 of these and are very knowledgeable about their respective tradition and styles.
Olav Luksengård Mjelva (Norway), Anders Hall (Sweden) and Kevin Henderson Music (Shetland Islands) have been touring as The Nordic Fiddler’s Bloc since 2009 and have taken their unique brand of music to many parts of the globe.
The first NFB Fiddle Camp was held in 2018 in Røros, Norway. It was a great weekend of music and laughter with 50 participants.
In 2019, the camp will be in Anders´ hometown: Järvsö, Sweden. https://goo.gl/maps/hDbEjhLgdbJ2
We have a great camp location at Stenegård.
There will be three days filled with workshops, activities, food, drink and late night jam sessions!
The fiddle camp will offer an intensive daily timetable of three instrumental lessons with Olav, Anders and Kevin as well as other activities to be announced.
The workshops will be aimed at 3 different levels: intermediate, higher intermediate and advanced. The learning will be done by ear.
Olav will also teach one Hardanger fiddle lesson each day.
The camp will have space for 60 people so it is recommended that people sign up quick to avoid disappointment!
